Help in the Lab

Please see a tutor if you experience technical difficulties in the lab. They are located at the front desk. If you encounter a problem that requires you to modify software or hardware, you must see a tutor. This is to ensure users will not be held liable for accidental damages.

Sometimes, the CS Labs' systems go down. During a lab failure (including computers and equipment) we will promptly warn users of the failure and provide alternative locations for similar services. We will do everything possible to restore those services.

External documentation

The University of Chicago's IT Services department directs the Linux Labs, campus computer labs and residential IT services. They maintain a documentation database.
